Dynasty Court Hotel is one of the great places to stay in Cagayan de Oro because, just like the VIP Hotel, this is also located strategically right at the heart of the city. Fronting the hotel are two popular bars and restaurants. There are also many cafes nearby. Just across the street is the booking office of Cebu Pacific, while Air Philippines office is also near. Philippine Airlines office is also walking distance, few blocks away. Thus, its one big advantage over several other hotels in Cagayan de Oro City is its location.

Transportation, therefore, is not an issue. Taxis are abundant even at night because of the nearby cafes and bars. There are also public transportations like Jeepneys and motorcabs. It is also walking distance to several banks (BDO and BPI). Few blocks away, is the Divisoria area where night cafe takes place during Fridays and Saturdays. Some drugstores, convenience stores, Jollibee stores, and Mcdonalds are open for 24 hours a day. All of them are just walking distance from the hotel.

Rooms are great, nice and neat with very reasonable room rates. The restaurant at the main lobby is very spacious, serving sumptuous dishes at affordable prices. There are also small function rooms at the Mezzanine if you want dining privacy with group of friends or business associates. At the top of the hotel is a bar with nice views of Cagayan de Oro central area.

The only problem with this hotel is if you have a car since parking space is very limited. But this is not a problem for tourists visiting the city of Cagayan de Oro via plane. There is also no swimming pool in case you want to have a swim.

The VIP Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Cagayan de Oro city that is still very competitive today with great amenities and facilities. Its one big advantage over the other hotels, that makes it still popular today, is the location. It is strategically located right at the heart of the city along the main city road and in the midst of the city’s central business and commercial districts. Obviously, transportation is not a problem since there are lots of taxis and Jeepneys (public transportation) just right outside of the hotel.

However, there are no shopping malls within the vicinity of the hotel. But if you like to go shopping, its just one ride away to Limketkai Center via Jeepney (for only around P10) or 10-15 minutes ride via taxi. If you need to buy consumer goods, there are some retail outlets and 24-hour drugstores with convenience stores nearby.

On weekends, it is just walking distance to the weekly night cafe. There are also several bars and cafes nearby, although it has its own bar and restaurant inside the hotel. Function rooms are also available but only good for moderate number of crowds. If you are going to the city via land using your own car then parking space is a bit of a problem with only limited space available.

The hotel service is okay, and their room rates are very affordable. This is an ideal Cagayan de Oro accommodation if you are going to this city for business trips because its proximity to various commercial and business establishments. This is also great for tourists.

Pearlmont Hotel is one of the popular hotels in Cagayan de Oro city. This is due to the fact that the hotel rates of Pearlmont Hotel are reasonable and affordable despite the awesome amenities and good service. On top of that, it is also strategically located near the Limketkai Center and right in the city proper. In fact, you can even walk to the mall from the hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend that since you shall pass by the squatters area where snatching incidence is high in the past (I do not know at present).

Pearlmont hotel has very beautiful exterior and interior designs. Its rooms are also beautiful and very elegant. It is fully equipped with several vital amenities like small and large function rooms. This is therefore excellent for large gatherings and special events like symposiums, conferences, and conventions. The hotel also has a restaurant at the lobby and a relaxation center for some spa and massage.

Room rates are very affordable for the exceptional quality amenities they offer. Customer service is also good. Transportation is not a problem at all since there are many taxis that usually pass by the area going to and from the Limketkai Center. Public transportation, Jeepneys for that matter, is also available. You can ride a Jeepney for only P10 per person when going to the Limketkai mall.

However, there is no swimming pool for those who want to have a swim. Nevertheless, this is great for business trips and those who want to have an excellent and very relaxing Cagayan de Oro accommodation. Because of its popularity among travellers and transients, the hotel is usually fully booked. In that case, you may have to book in advance if you like to have a room in Pearlmont Hotel during your planned trip to the city of Cagayan de Oro.

Koresco Hotel is the ideal Cagayan de Oro accommodation for golf lovers. This hotel is strategically located right inside the famous world-class Pueblo de Oro Golf Course. This is also the nearest hotel to the airport. Hotel amenities are amazing. There are bars, restaurants, cafes, and a swimming pool. Small and large function rooms are also available for conferences and conventions.

Since it is within the golf course compound, you can just play golf anytime you want. Rooms also have the beautiful view of the soothing greenery of the golf course. There is also a swimming pool for the whole family to swim around to unwind and relax. Golf carts are also available for golf players to move around with ease and convenience.

Shopping is also not a problem since it is located near SM Cagayan de Oro. It’s only 5 -10 minutes ride. The same goes true in going to the airport. The hotel also has hotel transportation when going about the destination of your choice. Obviously, they are more expensive than the standard metered taxi which is also available outside the compound along the road from the airport to the city proper.

Location is one of the drawbacks since it is located far from the city proper. This is situated in the uptown of Cagayan de Oro city. Thus, you will have to spend more for transportation if you book in this hotel. But that should not be an issue for guests who can afford to stay at the Koresco Hotel.
