Dynasty Court Hotel is one of the great places to stay in Cagayan de Oro because, just like the VIP Hotel, this is also located strategically right at the heart of the city. Fronting the hotel are two popular bars and restaurants. There are also many cafes nearby. Just across the street is the booking office of Cebu Pacific, while Air Philippines office is also near. Philippine Airlines office is also walking distance, few blocks away. Thus, its one big advantage over several other hotels in Cagayan de Oro City is its location.

Transportation, therefore, is not an issue. Taxis are abundant even at night because of the nearby cafes and bars. There are also public transportations like Jeepneys and motorcabs. It is also walking distance to several banks (BDO and BPI). Few blocks away, is the Divisoria area where night cafe takes place during Fridays and Saturdays. Some drugstores, convenience stores, Jollibee stores, and Mcdonalds are open for 24 hours a day. All of them are just walking distance from the hotel.

Rooms are great, nice and neat with very reasonable room rates. The restaurant at the main lobby is very spacious, serving sumptuous dishes at affordable prices. There are also small function rooms at the Mezzanine if you want dining privacy with group of friends or business associates. At the top of the hotel is a bar with nice views of Cagayan de Oro central area.

The only problem with this hotel is if you have a car since parking space is very limited. But this is not a problem for tourists visiting the city of Cagayan de Oro via plane. There is also no swimming pool in case you want to have a swim.

The VIP Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Cagayan de Oro city that is still very competitive today with great amenities and facilities. Its one big advantage over the other hotels, that makes it still popular today, is the location. It is strategically located right at the heart of the city along the main city road and in the midst of the city’s central business and commercial districts. Obviously, transportation is not a problem since there are lots of taxis and Jeepneys (public transportation) just right outside of the hotel.

However, there are no shopping malls within the vicinity of the hotel. But if you like to go shopping, its just one ride away to Limketkai Center via Jeepney (for only around P10) or 10-15 minutes ride via taxi. If you need to buy consumer goods, there are some retail outlets and 24-hour drugstores with convenience stores nearby.

On weekends, it is just walking distance to the weekly night cafe. There are also several bars and cafes nearby, although it has its own bar and restaurant inside the hotel. Function rooms are also available but only good for moderate number of crowds. If you are going to the city via land using your own car then parking space is a bit of a problem with only limited space available.
